La Belle: The first luxury superyacht designed just for women

04 February 2015

Lidia Bersani Luxury Design has designed the world’s first luxury superyacht with ultra-high-net-worth women in mind.

In a male-dominated industry, superyacht ’La Belle’, currently a design concept, is the most recent offering from the design house, measuring in at an impressive 80 metres or 262 feet.

With recognisibly feminine accents to her sleek white exterior, including opulent flourishes and soft curvaceous lines adorned with gold detailing, this superyacht addresses the gap in the market for feminine yacht design.

The Lidia Bersani Luxury Design house states the superyacht to be in the distinctive Bersani style; romantic and warm. The interior will again feature predominant white, ivory and gold colouring filled with gold mosaic, mother of pearl, Swarovski crystals, semi-precious stones, onyx and exclusive wooden furniture.

The hull is designed to accommodate up to 12 guests in complete comfort with a large master bedroom for the female owner on the second deck giving an outstanding view and private terrace. The owner’s suite will be home to a round king size bed with baldachin. There will be five equally extravagant guest suites.

Across the five decks, there will be a host of bars, lounges, dining and entertaining spaces with the facilities to host live music, a library with a fireplace, a movie theatre or cinema, and an on-board nightclub.

There will also be a small fitness club with outdoor Jacuzzi, and a luxury spa area with hydro-massage pool, hammam Turkish bath, infrared sauna, plus a snow room and display of ice fountains.

Each of the decks has an outdoor area for relaxing, tanning and observing the world go by, accessible by a smart round glass elevator, which is wrapped by an adorned staircase, finished in gold and Swarovski crystals.

The swimming pool, found on the main deck, will have a sophisticated system in place to cover the pool while saving water.

This truly unique superyacht will be finished with a helicopter-landing pad on top. The design house has also suggested the inclusion of an ultra-modern stabilising system and state-of-the-art on-board machinery and equipment.

The price is not yet available for this superyacht as it is still in the design and planning stages.
